This is not medical advice
See My Scan is an educational tool. It reads the words of a radiology report and draws an illustration of what those words describe. It is not a diagnosis, not a second opinion, and not a substitute for a visit or conversation with your doctor. Do not make or delay any medical decision based on it. If you have urgent symptoms, call your doctor or emergency services.
This is not a scientific reproduction of your scan
The 3D body is a standard, simplified anatomical model, not your body and not your actual CT, MRI or PET images. Positions and sizes are estimated from the report text and are approximate. Organ shapes, colors and proportions are illustrative. The explanations are generated by an AI model and can contain mistakes; every finding shows whether its wording was matched to your report, and anything marked for checking should be confirmed with your doctor. The software has not been reviewed or cleared by the FDA or any regulator.
People pictured on this site
The people pictured on this site, in its link previews and in its videos are computer-generated with AI image tools. They are not real people, patients, users or reviewers. No one pictured has used See My Scan, and nothing on the site is said by or about them.
HIPAA
HIPAA is a US law that governs how doctors, hospitals, health plans and their business associates handle your health information. See My Scan is a consumer tool that you choose to use with your own information. It is not offered by your doctor, hospital or health plan, it is not a HIPAA covered entity, and it does not act as anyone’s business associate. That means HIPAA’s protections do not apply to information you choose to enter here, even though we follow the safeguards below.
- Personal details are removed in your browser first. Before a pasted report is sent, the app strips names, medical record and accession numbers, birth dates, phone numbers, email and street addresses, Social Security numbers and ages over 89, following the HIPAA Safe Harbor list of identifiers. You can see what was removed before you send. This catches most identifiers but cannot guarantee all of them, so please check.
- Photos and PDFs are read into text first. An uploaded photo or PDF is first read into text, and names, record numbers, birth dates and other personal details are removed from that text before the analysis. The image itself is still sent to the AI provider so that it can be read, so for the most privacy paste the text instead, or crop your name out of the photo.
- The website does not store your report. The text is sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic’s Claude API to be read, and the result is returned to your browser. The website keeps no database of reports or results. The one exception is the WhatsApp agent, described below, which keeps a de-identified copy for 7 days so its link works. Anthropic’s handling of API data is described in its commercial terms and privacy policy.
- Results stay on your device. Downloads (CSV, JSON, FHIR) and printouts are created in your browser.
If you use the WhatsApp agent
You can also send a report to our WhatsApp number. Messages you send there travel through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform. Unlike a personal WhatsApp chat, a business number can read the messages it receives, and so can the systems it uses to answer them: your message reaches our server, which reads the report with Anthropic’s Claude API, exactly as the website does. Meta’s handling of WhatsApp Business messages is described in its own terms.
Before your report is read, names, record numbers, birth dates and other personal details are removed from the text on our server (a photo or PDF is read into text first, then cleaned). The de-identified report text and the result are then kept for 7 days so that the link we send you opens the full 3D result, and so that you can ask follow-up questions in the chat. After 7 days they are deleted. Your phone number is never stored in clear; the stored result carries only a one-way hash of it, so that a DELETE reply can find and remove your results.
Reply DELETE (or BORRAR, हटाएं, કાઢી નાખો) at any time to remove everything stored for your number immediately. Reply English, Español, हिंदी or ગુજરાતી to change the language of the replies.
The WhatsApp replies and the linked result are an educational illustration drawn from the words of your report. They are not a diagnosis, not medical advice and not a substitute for your doctor. The agent answers follow-up questions only from your stored result and never adds medical claims of its own. For anything urgent, contact your doctor or emergency services.
For clinics and health systems: using See My Scan with patient information on behalf of a covered entity requires a Business Associate Agreement and a HIPAA-eligible configuration. Contact us before any clinical deployment.
We count visits anonymously with Vercel Web Analytics: page views, country, device and which site sent you. It uses no cookies, collects no names or contact details, and never sees your report.
If you use the feedback form, we keep what you send: your message, your 1 to 5 rating, the page and language you were using, your country (taken from your connection, not your exact location) and, only if you add it, your email address. Feedback is stored privately with our hosting provider, Vercel, and only the owner of See My Scan reads it. Please do not put your report or health details in it. We keep feedback only while it helps improve the app; to have yours deleted, send another message through the same form asking us to, with the email address you used or the date you sent it.
3D anatomy: 3D Reference Organs from the Human Reference Atlas (HuBMAP CCF 3D Reference Object Library, united male and united female v1.10), derived from the Visible Human Project of the U.S. National Library of Medicine, licensed under CC Attribution 4.0 International. Prostate zones: ProstateZones (Holmlund et al., Scientific Data 2024, built from the PROSTATEx data), CC BY 4.0. Some organs and the backup model: BodyParts3D, © The Database Center for Life Science, CC BY 4.0. The shapes were modified for this app, and the thyroid and many urological details (the tissue around the prostate, the bladder lining, the inside of the kidney, the testes and the penis) are illustrations built on these sources.
Free until the end of 2026
Until December 31, 2026 (11:59 pm ET), every report is free for everyone, with no account and no card.
